Jack Hanley Gallery is excited to present an online exhibition of Indian drawings from the 1960s. The drawings were made by a group of women at the North Indian border to Nepal in celebration of the annual Hindu festival Ahoi Ashtami. Dedicated to Mata Ahoi, the festivities are observed by mothers worshipping Goddess Ahoi for the well-being and longevity of their children. The drawings have previously been in the collection of Allen Stone Gallery.
