Steven Pippin Show
September 8 - October 8, 1994
Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present the work of British photographer Steven Pippin at our Grant Avenue space from September 8 - October 8, 1994. Pippin uses experimental cameras that he builds to create offbeat realistic self-portraits and environmental de-constructions. The process is made visual and the photos shown with the camera are often remnants of a performance staged at an earlier time. He recently had a show of his work in at the Museum of Modern Art in N.Y. For this series Pippin is driving cross-country with a self-made panoramic camera that is fueled by solar panels, documenting the countryside on the way.
