San Francisco-based artist Christopher Garret has shown widely in local and national exhibitions.  His work was most recently featured in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts’ Bay Area Now 3 and at Deitch Projects We Are Electric (curated by Chris Perez.) Garrett is known for his wry and sardonic drawings that often depict fringe figures: long-haired hippies in hot-tubs, or purely fantastic scenarios replete with wolfmen and artistic houseplants.  For his show at the Jack Hanley Gallery Garret will be exhibiting not only a selection of recent drawings, but will also create an installation in the rear section of the gallery.
