NINA BOVASSO

June 13 – July 13 2002

Jack Hanley Gallery is pleased to present a show of work by New York artist Nina Bovasso.  Her recent work embodies obsessive freewheeling doodling of flowers, petite dots, compartments of rectangles and organic globule forms that disperse across sheets of paper.  These paintings and drawings have abstract intricate noodling of lines with spontaneous patterns and explosive confetti colors.  The work defines an unknown order of scribbles, decoration and cartoon.

Bovasso recently had a solo exhibition at Clementine Gallery, NY.  She has participated in group exhibitions at the New Museum of Contemporary Art NY, and Museum of Contemporary Art, St.Louis.
